Marrit Fan Hylpen 05/22/2012 and 16.1 3/4" hds Imported Royal Friesian by KFPS
Marrit-2012 Imported Friesian 16.1 3/4" hds Mare. Excellent on trails. WTC. Picks up leads. Very well trained. Marriet was in the local Christmas parade and she was perfect. We fox hunted her Dec 31 and she was amazing. Handled the hounds, and horses cantering past like a pro. She has trail ridden in the mountains and even thru the lake. Drives single and double. Lovely dressage horse. Lots of videos. Even videos walk, trot, canter BRIDLELESS. RIding on the road with traffic, shooting guns and popping bull whips off her. Also videos playing horse soccer. Uncomplicated. Once in a lifetime horse. Sound. No vices. The Friesian's fairy tale beautiful looks make them a favorite choice of Hollywood. However, it's not just their beauty that makes them such a great choice for movies--Friesians are wonderfully kind and willing to please. Marrit is true to her breed. Beautiful, kind, and happy to work, Marrit is a phenomenal riding horse, who also drives. She has successfully been trail ridden, ridden in parades, worked in the arena, working colts, etc. Friesians are a popular choice for dressage, and Marrit would definitely be well suited for that option, as well. She is a huge and gorgeous mover. Truly a magnificent mare, needs to be seen in person to fully appreciate. PPE in hand. Westminster SC.
The Friesian horse. There she is: fiery, strong, intelligent, and looking just a bit superior. As if she knows of her centuries-old heritage. As if she knows of the place she has in so many hearts. The Koninklijke Vereniging "Het Friesch Paarden-Stamboek" (KFPS) is the oldest studbook in the Netherlands and promotes the interests of the Friesian horse in the broadest sense of the word. The KFPS has been realizing this by the meticulous registration of Friesian horses since the time it was founded in 1879. In addition, the KFPS has established a breeding program to maintain and further refine the unique characteristics of the Friesian horse. The KFPS is an international studbook with at least 12.000 members of which almost half are located outside of the Netherlands. Friesian horses can be found on every continent in more than seventy countries. The registration of horses in other countries is done by the KFPS in Drachten through local associations affiliated with the KFPS. Friesian horses in both the Netherlands and other countries are inspected according to KFPS standards by jury members trained by the KFPS. The interest in the Friesian horse has exploded in recent decades. More and more horse lovers are impressed by their regal bearing, their suitability for both recreational and professional equestrian sports, and their friendly character.
